Get a taste of what’s to come at Disney Springs

Downtown Disney Springs
Formerly Downtown Disney, today’s Disney Springs offers a better visitor experience.

If you arrive at the Walt Disney Resort the day or evening before your actual visit, you can get a taste of the spectacle of the next day(s) at Disney Springs (formerly Downtown Disney). Disney Springs is probably only fascinating before a visit to the four theme parks.

The West Side section includes attractions such as the “Cirque de Soleil”, “Disney Quest” and the “House of Blues”. Disney Quest is a five-storey building full of interactivity. Technical gadgets such as virtual reality, arcades, alien invasions and flight simulators not only delight game addicts in 100,000 square feet. Children under the age of ten must be accompanied by an adult aged 16 or older. Live music and traditional southern cuisine are available in the House of Blues to relax afterwards.

Pleasure Island is the Disney-style city center and is designed with nightclubs, bars and stores to ensure that there is “something going on”. The “BET Sound Stage” plays hip-hop, the “8 Trax” offers disco music, the “Motion” plays Top 40 and in the “Mannquins” you can get a spinning worm to techno beats on the revolving dance floor. At “AMC Pleasure Island”, you can watch endless Hollywood blockbusters in 24 cinemas in bad weather.

Something for everyone and completely free

The family-friendly marketplace welcomes visitors to store and eat. Souvenirs for transit and business travelers in particular are readily available here. The pedestrian bridge over the small lake exudes a touch of artificial romance.

Disney’s Springs therefore offers a mix of different activities such as shopping, entertainment, amusement and dining. Visitors will find chain restaurants, music venues, bars and clubs as well as stores and a movie theater. The Mickey Mouse City can be reached by boat from the three Disney hotels “Port Orleans”, “Old Key West” and “Saratoga Springs”. Otherwise, the free Disney buses stop here.
