Find peace and quiet in Rotary Park Cape Coral

Rotary Park Cape Coral
Pure relaxation on the trails of the Rotary Rotary Park in Cape Coral

Rotary Park is located in the heart of Cape Coral – a place of tranquillity surrounded by native flora and fauna. Here you can take a relaxed stroll – provided it’s not too hot. A few park benches on the individual trails invite you to linger.

Rotory Park covers an area of 97 acres of marshland with salt marshes on rocky ground. In the swampy landscape during the rainy season, you should always have a mosquito repellent to hand to protect yourself from the biting pests. In winter, however, this is not necessary.

In 2001, the park was established as the result of the combined efforts of three local Rotary Clubs, the Department of Environmental Protection and the City of Cape Coral. It contains a dog park, a playground, picnic areas, a butterfly house and an environmental center. The latter is used by schools for gardening and summer camps. There are also snakes, frogs, lizards and turtles to marvel at.

There are free guided tours of the Tom Allen Memorial every Monday, Friday and Saturday at 10.30 am. The park also has some sports equipment with exercise suggestions and some trails for short hikes where you can observe the birdlife.
